A Fall Day in North Georgia

Sunflowers, pumpkins, apples...oh my!

Looking for a great itinerary for a fall trip to north Georgia? We followed the below route and had such a wonderful day. Note - there are many wonderful orchards, farm stores and wineries in the area. These are just the ones we happened to visit.

11366 GA-136, Dawsonville, GA

Family owned farm since 1858! Enjoy gorgeous views of 900,000 flowers on over 30 acres (check beforehand to get bloom dates). A perfect spot for some picture taking or just a stroll to enjoy a little bit of nature's beauty.

5 Burt’s Pumpkin Farm Road, Dawsonville, GA

Have you been to a pumpkin patch before? This was a first for me! Loved exploring Burt's Farm and especially enjoyed the symmetry of how the space is arranged. Found some peace in the pumpkin patterns. 🎃🎃🎃

I hear it can get busy on the weekends— so try and go early or during the week if you can. We went on a Thursday and there were only a few other people there.

9110 GA-52, Ellijay, GA

This is a great place to add to your next north Georgia fall roadtrip! Reece Cider Company is the real deal. They grow and press their own apples to make a variety of hard ciders from sweet to dry. We tried the flight so we could sample a bunch — Hops of Jupiter was a favorite! 😋

9132 GA-52, Ellijay, GA

Located right across from Reece's Cider Company, BJ Reece Orchards has a U-Pick orchard, large farm store and activities for kids including a petting farm and giant slide.

230 Henry Evans Rd, Ellijay, GA

The 180 degree view from this vineyard is absolutely stunning. We recommend grabbing a snack at the orchard farm store and bringing it here to enjoy with a glass of wine and a truly spectacular view of the north Georgia mountains.
