Checking Off a Bucket List Stay at Camp Toccoa
One of my life goals is to stay in every type of accommodation out there. After checking off a yurt, a treehouse, and a glamping dome last year, staying in an Airstream was high on my 2025 wish list. So when Camp Toccoa invited us to check out their new riverfront Airstream property, I jumped at the chance!

Disclosure: My accommodation was hosted and sponsored by Camp Toccoa. As always, all opinions are my own.
Camp Toccoa features two beautiful Airstreams on the property. We stayed in “Drifter,” the slightly larger option, though “Dreamer” next door captured my heart too, with its colorful wallpaper and decor. Both airstreams sit alongside the Toccoa River, offering water views from nearly every window.

And these aren’t your average campers. Each Airstream comes with a private hot tub, spacious deck, designated fire pit area, relaxing hammock, and stone steps leading into the water. Inside, they’re immaculately clean and thoughtfully appointed.

In addition, both Airstreams have access to a shared bathhouse (with heated floors, two luxury showers, and laundry facilities). There is also a communal grilling area with an additional deck and a picnic table.
The landscaping is beautiful and thoughtful, with gravel paths and lighting. Honestly, we were blown away by the care that went into designing this property.
Paths lead from both Airstreams to the central bathhouse and grilling area.
Even the drive to the Airstreams is beautiful as you travel a scenic dirt road with lovely homes alongside the Toccoa River. And one of the best parts is the location! Camp Toccoa is only a few short miles from downtown Blue Ridge, which offers cute shops, great restaurants, and plenty of activities, including the Blue Ridge Railroad — which actually passes opposite the property. We got lucky and caught the train chugging by during our stay!
The drive to the property is gorgeous (we were in a minivan and the gravel roads were not a problem), downtown Blue Ridge is a few miles away, and the view of the passing Blue Ridge scenic train from the fire pit!
If you like cooking while you are glamping, there is a very well-stocked Ingles grocery store just down the road. Not in the mood to cook? Either head into Blue Ridge or visit Old Toccoa Farm, which is even closer to the property and features a restaurant with beautiful views.
The Toccoa River is a popular fishing spot, so if that interests you, the property owners can help connect you with a fishing guide or bring your own gear!
View of the Toccoa River from inside "Drifter", easy access for fishing (we saw people fly fishing while we were there), and provisions from a nearby grocery store.
What I really love about Camp Toccoa is its versatility. It’s the perfect place for a romantic couple’s getaway, but would work equally well for friends or extended family gatherings. You can grill together, roast s'mores, and enjoy the riverside atmosphere while still having your own separate spaces.

Camp Toccoa -- from the landscaping to the thoughtful amenities, you can see why this receives 5-star reviews.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first Airstream getaway. For anyone looking for a magical combination of unique accommodation, natural beauty, and thoughtful amenities conveniently located near a charming downtown, save this spot!
Thank you to Camp Toccoa for having us!
